Hi Eduardo,the Background is as follows: In 2010 the C.I.P. changed the Specification for the .50” BMG Cartridge. Now all Hobby Shooters in C.I.P Member countries have to widen their Throats, to swallow this Frog, ah, sorry, I meant, they have to widen their Barrels Leads and Throats to accommodate the new overly wide Specification. Barrel groove Ø remains 12,93 mm but Lead before the Throat widened to enormous 13,16 mm Ø. Wide as a Barn door.
I already hear the Bullets rattle! If meant to shoot accurate, that Specification is completely idiotic, so I reasonably assume, that Decision was meant as a deliberate Castration of the civil .50 BMG, to reduce its Long range potential on the Weapon side. How silly.Not with me! Civil .50”BMG Shooters are all Reloaders. None of them will ever present their Ammunition to any Proof house. Private (self made, that is not commercially sold) Ammunition does not need to be proofed. I am able to benefit from y Drive band approach and tailor a new .50” BMG Bullet (dubbed the “Anti 2010 C.I.P. Castration “Big Ball””) for the widened 2010 CIP Rifles. But I cannot sell such Ammunition, as the Proof house would not let me. Still I shall create some 1277 Bullets for a requesting Customer to win the April 2014 Long Shot in Nipter.To relieve all those European .50” BMG Shooters from the nasty C.I.P., the .416” Barrett Cartridge comes handy, as that is not C.I.P. standardized and probably will not be for a While to come, if, and only if, we can get enough .416” Barrett Cases (at a reasonable Price). At next Barrel change, shooting Folks would simple rebarrel to .416” Barrett, then buy a new Set of Dies and they are set and done. The Rest is Fun as usual. Here they can play as they want, meaning to use tight Chambers, Throats an Leads, just as they want, not the C.I.P.. The Rest of the Equipment simply remains the same. That’s a feasible Way to abolish C.I.P. Castration of the big Fifty.Eric Danis in France, where the .50” BMG is restricted (like in California), Years ago created the 510 DTC (with 12,99 mm Lead Ø, read also EDM Arms about the 510 DTC ) to shoot a big Fifty alike, but there is too much Work involved, to form the Cases form a 50 BMG. The .416 Barret would be so much easier and commercially sensefull, if, and only if, we get an ample Supply of ready made Cases. I would buy some Thousands, and by the Way probably also create a Rifle or two for them. There is Room for new Stuff in the World with the old Three stage program:

Die Bodenwirbel sind beim Flachboden selbstverständlich gräßlich, aber nur so schafft man notwendigen Platz für mehr Treibladung. In Nipter wird recht weit geschossen, bis ~ 1 ½ km. Bummeltanten fallen draußen wie Steine aus dem Himmel. Flitzer haben's da etwas leichter und damit deren Schützen.

Nach 1 h und gut 5 km sind wird bei der Gastwirtschaft angekommen. Die verbrauchte Kraft entspricht ungefähr der eines halben Liter hellen Bieres.
Die 50er Geschosse sind militärisch mit 440 MPa, statt mit lahmen 370 CIP MPa geladen. Die 1278 ragen vorn aus der Hülse raus, lassen Platz für mehr Pulver, 17,94 g um genau zu sein. Die Patronen werden 151,5 mm lang. So erreiche ich aus 915 mm Lauf knapp 20.000 Joule Wucht. Mehr Pulver geht nicht rein. Zweck ist die am Montag auf eigens dafür hergestellte Betonziele zu schießen. Wir wollen prüfen, ob meine Geschosse 1273 und 1277 durch die gewählten und hergestellten Dicken Beton gewisser Güte 1. durchschießen und 2. rückwärtig Splitter abgeben. Mit solchen Beschüssen auf abweichende Stellen wird der Beweis erbracht werden, ebensolche Blenden halten auf einem Schießstand dem Beschuß stand, taugen also als Blenden. Da soll nämlich irgendwo aufgerüstet werden.
Ich habe etwas mehr Munition als dafür erforderlich hergestellt, denn wir wollen anschließend den Beton regelwidrig mit Beschüssen auf denselben Stellen knacken. Fuffzigerfest eben.
